Sahabat Al Muttaqin, in collaboration with the Doa Yatim Foundation (YDY), held a social event titled “Smiles with Orphans and the Underprivileged” in Kampung Tapos, Tenjolaya District, Bogor Regency, on Sunday (August 2, 2026). The event successfully brought happiness to at least 100 orphans and 150 underprivileged residents.
Going beyond the mere distribution of material aid, the event featured a variety of engaging activities, ranging from free health check-ups for local residents and a communal meal to educational games. The organizers intentionally designed the event with a family-oriented atmosphere to ensure the beneficiaries felt valued and cared for.

The event’s organizing chairman, Kang Iip, explained that Sahabat Al Muttaqin is a community group supported by the Al Muttaqin Grand Mosque in Bogor City. The partnership with YDY was established to expand the reach and impact of their social programs.
“The list of beneficiaries includes 100 orphans and 150 underprivileged residents. God willing, this ‘Smiles Together’ event will bring significant benefits to the community,” said Kang Iip.
In addition to financial aid and health services, Sahabat Al Muttaqin distributed religious learning materials donated by supporters—such as copies of the Quran, *Iqra* books, and Quran study tables—to support the children’s educational activities.
Abi Rahmat, an advisor for the Doa Yatim Foundation, expressed his deep appreciation. He noted that the event had a positive psychological impact on the orphans. In his view, personal attention and direct interaction—such as playing and sharing a meal together—are often more valuable than financial assistance alone.
“Praise be to God, and thank you to Sahabat Al Muttaqin for bringing happiness to these orphans. May Allah reward the time, effort, and resources that have been so generously contributed,” said Abi Rahmat. This event also serves as an opportunity for volunteers, foundation administrators, guardians, and foster parents to connect. The organizers hope that such educational and charitable activities can be held regularly to sustain the smiles and hopes of orphans and community members in need.
